Hello Stampers!
Today we have a great selection of cards to inspire you for our Blog Challenge! We are thrilled to invite Guest Blogger Agnes Tan to showcase some of her wonderful cards here on the blog. Like all others, Agnes loves to craft and is a huge fan of Hero Arts. She has been actively participating in our Card-making contest including the most recent Mothers’ Day Card contest where she came in top!
We indeed had a tough time picking the top winner in the last round of contest, but Agnes’s card stand out too well with all these popping flowers!
Let’s take a look at some of her cards done recently, with some simple techniques which can be achieved easily.
First up, Agnes created this sweet floral card using the S5506 Flower Text block stamp. She stamped twice and colour one of it with Memento markers. The leaves and flowers were cut and raised with mounting foams to a dimensioned look.
Here’s a close-up so you can see it better:
The card was completed with the “friends” word using CL487 Thank you for being my friend on a kraft card stock and layered with a brown card stock. Lastly, Agnes completed the card with gems and stickles for the perfect touch!
Are you more inspired now? Next, this gorgeous card was created using resist technique with S5154 Three Ferns and CL479 Dictionary Greetings stamp set. The wording background was amazingly embossed with white embossing powder. And, the leaves were inked with peeled paint from ranger distress ink before they were misted and applied to the background for a rustic look.
Here’s a closer look of the embossed background:
I love how the card was completed with the S5507 Envelope Pattern Background and the sentiments from CL497 Joy. Agnes loves gems and flowers to complete her cards! I love gems too!
Finally, the last card was created using LP196 Shoes
This pretty card was created using “kissing” technique. Firstly, ink CG245 Classic Fabric Design with versamark and CG125 Friends Definition with aged Mahogany distress ink pad. “Kiss” them together and stamp the classic flourish stamp onto a glossy paper. Heat and dry it. Use Victorian velvet distress inkpad and color the whole glossy paper. Wipe off with dried cloth.
Complete the shoes using color pencils. The card is completed! Isn’t that easy?
A closer look at the card:
A peek on the inside of the card:
Agnes has use the same stamp to create a row of colourful shoes for the background of the inside card! We all love the shoes!
Thank you Agnes for sharing such wonderful cards with us!
